General

Homec is a small hamlet of scattered houses and farms, where peace and quiet are a way of life. Your stay at Western Cottage offers the best of both comfort and nature. The cosy cabin features a comfortable double bed and a covered outdoor kitchen, fully equipped with a coffee machine, oven, refrigerator with freezer, and all necessary kitchen supplies.

Outside, you can relax on the terrace, enjoy a barbecue, or cool off in your private swimming pool while taking in views of the Velika Planina mountain range. Towels and bed linen are provided, and there’s even an electric car charging point on-site, along with free parking. For families, a separate igloo hut is available for two children – a fun and unique sleeping experience.

Daily life here moves at a slower pace: mornings start with the sound of birds in the forest, afternoons invite you to take a dip in the pool, and evenings are perfect for stargazing in absolute silence. For groceries or fresh bread, the town of Mozirje is just a few kilometres away, while local cafés and restaurants are never far from reach.

Surroundings

Just 500 metres away, the village of Ljubno ob Savinji offers a supermarket with fresh bread from the local bakery, as well as cosy cafés and restaurants. The location is a perfect base for exploring the Savinja Valley – from picturesque riverside villages to the stunning waterfalls and caves of Logar Valley Nature Park.

In winter, enjoy the ski slopes of Mount Golte and take in breathtaking views from Mozirski Dom, perhaps with a coffee or a traditional malica (Slovenian lunch) on the terrace. The Savinja River is also a paradise for passionate fly fishers (permit required). And if you fancy a city day, Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana is less than an hour’s scenic drive away.
